Your questions about EASY Estate padel tournaments
Why does an estate agency organise padel events?
Property is also about bringing people together, and padel offers the perfect opportunity. This sociable, accessible sport helps us bring clients, partners and the local community together to have fun and share an experience. We create human connections as well as connections through property.
What is padel?
Padel is a racket sport combining elements of tennis and squash. It is played in doubles on a court smaller than a tennis court, enclosed by glass walls and fencing that can be used to return the ball.
Play begins with an underarm serve: the ball must bounce in the service box before touching the walls. Rallies then become fast and tactical, with players able to use the walls to keep a point going. Scoring is the same as in tennis.
How does a padel tournament work?
In a padel tournament, several teams compete in matches leading to a final. It starts with a group stage: pairs are divided into groups and play on several courts. Each team plays the other teams in its group. Results determine the group rankings.
The top teams from each group then progress to the knockout stage. Every match matters: a loss means elimination, while a win takes you closer to the final. The two best pairs meet in the final, and the winner takes the title.
What level do I need to take part?
You can take part whatever your level, from experienced players to amateurs and complete beginners. You do not need prior experience, lessons or club membership. The main aim is to have fun, so come ready to enjoy yourself.
How many players can register?
Our events are open to players with or without experience. Registration is individual, but you must form a team of two players. Enter your team name when registering so we can identify your pair. Places are limited, so sign up soon.
What equipment should I bring?
Bring your padel racket and comfortable sports clothing. The first tournament takes place at the Royal Tennis Club de Liège, so please wear white (EASY Estate will provide a white T-shirt).
Is there an entry fee?
Yes. Each tournament has an entry fee to cover organisational costs. Refreshments are paid for on site. Pricing information and details are provided when you register online.
When and where do the events take place?
Events take place throughout the year in different Belgian towns, mainly around Liège, where our estate agency is based. Check the schedule above for the date and location of the next event, and sign up so you don’t miss out.
